This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the regional Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team.
• Manage, mentor, develop, and assess MSL direct reports.
• Promote collaboration, retention, engagement, growth, and work-life balance.
• Identify training requirements for MSLs and work together on training initiatives.
• Ensure that compliance standards and administrative duties are fulfilled.
• Lead the team through organizational transformations.
• Collaborate with medical leadership to formulate Field Medical strategies, tactics, and Scientific Engagement Plans.
• Enhance field medical insights to refine strategies and tactics.
• Identify tools and resources that support Scientific Engagement Plans.
• Supervise peer-to-peer scientific engagement with opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and decision-makers in population health.
• Develop engagement strategies for key accounts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Guide MSL education on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data.
• Assist the MSL team in executing impactful strategies and tactics.
• Represent the MSL team to senior leadership.
• Work with stakeholders to share field observations and insights.
• Support congress activities.
• Participate in and lead Field Medical project teams.
• Ensure collaboration across field medical and field commercial teams.
• Doctorate degree with 4 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 10 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• 4 years of managerial experience directly supervising individuals and/or leadership experience in guiding teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation.
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. is preferred; other doctoral degrees will be considered.
• Preferred: 7 years of industry experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Preferred: 7 or more years concentrating on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Experience in a medically related field, including postdoctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships is preferred.
• Preferred: 3+ years in a medical science liaison role at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company is preferred.
• Preferred: 3 years of managerial experience directly managing individuals and/or leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation.
• Expertise in Obesity and Related Conditions is preferred.
