Facility Inpatient Coding Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough audits of inpatient facility coding, encompassing MS-DRGs, ICD-10-CM/PCS, POA indicators, discharge disposition, query opportunities, and quality-related data components.

• Ensure adherence to official coding guidelines, CMS regulations, payer requirements, and internal protocols.

• Detect coding inaccuracies, trends, and underlying causes that affect reimbursement, quality metrics, and compliance risks.

• Confirm that documentation substantiates the coded diagnoses and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current coding credential: RHIA, RHIT, CCS (mandatory).

• At least 3 years of experience in auditing inpatient facilities.

• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRGs, POA indicators, and UHDDS.

• Solid comprehension of CMS regulations, OIG guidelines, and compliance standards.

• Experience in collaborating with or supporting global or remote coding teams.

• Expected production rate of 2 CPH.
