This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• We are seeking freelance translators who possess substantial and demonstrable experience in subtitling for the television and film industry, specifically for English to Basque, Galician, and Catalan translations.

• Fluency in the target language as a native speaker.

• Comprehensive understanding of the source language.

• A university degree or equivalent professional experience in the translation sector.

• Prior experience in at least one of the following entertainment industry domains: localization quality control, audiovisual translation, and subtitling.

• Profound knowledge of the subtleties involved in subtitle and dubbing translations.

• Familiarity with cultural variances and best practices for creating subtitles and dub audio.

• Awareness of closed captioning and subtitling, including common pitfalls and technical challenges.

• Proficiency and confidence in using subtitle editing software and web/cloud technologies.

• Ability to swiftly adapt to changes and updates in workflow and processes.

• Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking capabilities.
