Experienced Auditor – Insurance, Asset Wealth Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Support a client engagement set to commence in January 2027, with onboarding possibly beginning in November 2026.

• Execute timely and high-quality audit tasks addressing intricate sections.

• Oversee fieldwork and manage deliverables from various team members.

• Mentor, instruct, and redirect associates, interns, and other team members.

• Resolve client issues and escalate concerns as necessary.

• Facilitate information exchange between clients and engagement teams.

• Prepare financial statements, associated disclosures, and reportable conditions letters.

• Track productivity, budgets, and work-plan timelines.

• Organize, budget, and manage client deliverables.

• Review work to ensure quality and foster team skill enhancement.

• Lead larger, more complex engagement teams, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining team morale.

• Communicate effectively with all levels within the firm and the client.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in the Insurance or Asset Wealth Management industry (non-negotiable).

• Background with a Big 4 firm (essential).

• ITC/Board 1 Pass (Senior and SIC; non-negotiable).

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CPA (Senior and SIC).

• Fully qualified CA(SA), CA(Z), ACA, ACCA, or CPA (Manager).

• At least 4 years of public accounting audit experience for Senior positions.

• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting audit experience for SIC roles.

• A minimum of 6 years of public accounting audit experience for Manager positions.

• At least 2 years of experience leading teams and managing audits for SIC and Manager roles.

• Experience in reviewing and approving work papers.

• Proficient in U.S. GAAP and PCAOB standards.

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise relevant to Financial Services.

• Reliable access to a sustainable fiber internet connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps for both upload and download speeds, and latency not exceeding 30 ms.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proactive, dedicated, and driven by deadlines.
