
Entry Generator Specialist – Field Service, Technical Advising

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of generator design principles and construction methods.
• Keep abreast of the latest innovations and technologies related to generator systems.
• Become proficient in various generator inspection techniques, which include visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and performance evaluations.
• Conduct a variety of tests on generators, including insulation resistance tests, winding resistance tests, and performance assessments for both low voltage and high voltage (>600V ac/dc) applications.
• Troubleshoot generator malfunctions and identify the underlying causes of problems.
• Carry out repair work on generators, encompassing winding repairs and stator/rotor repairs.
• Travel to customer locations to deliver on-site assistance for generator installation, maintenance, and warranty services.
• Detect and address technical issues with generators promptly.
• A Technical Degree/Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0; or a High School Diploma/GED accompanied by over 4 years of experience in Field Services or maintenance of power generation equipment.
• Proficiency in utilizing electrical testing instruments, including Megohmmeters, Hipot test sets, Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeters, and Multimeters.
• Readiness and ability to travel (up to 80%) for projects and various field assignments, with a willingness to work on holidays, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
• Capability to obtain unescorted security clearance for nuclear power facilities.
• A valid Canadian Driver’s License and Canadian passport.
