English Interpreter, Sorani

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls promptly and provide interpretation services in a courteous and professional manner.

• Deliver accurate concepts and meanings in line with established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions.

• Communicate clearly in both languages with correct pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions.

• Uphold a professional demeanor throughout each call at all times.

• Ensure punctuality and availability during scheduled working hours.

• Adhere to client instructions in accordance with protocol to meet client expectations when interacting with Limited English-speaking Persons (LEP), refraining from engaging with the LEP without the client’s consent.

• Focus solely on interpretation.

• No involvement in escalation or resolution provision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English and fluent in Sorani (capable of reading and writing).

• Communicate clearly in both languages with appropriate pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions.

• Malaysian nationals or permanent residents with a strong command of both languages.

• Must work from home for 9 hours within the client’s scheduled requirements (shifts may fall between 8 PM and 8 AM, inclusive of a 1-hour break).

• Have a stable home internet connection with a minimum of 5MB download and 1MB upload speed.

• Own a mobile phone with Android version 6 or higher, or iOS 12 or higher.

• Willingness to work permanent night shifts and availability for public holidays and weekends.
