This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Design, test, and implement security configuration changes for endpoints and servers through established change control processes.
• Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain endpoint security solutions, including EDR platforms and host-based firewalls.
• Analyze system, endpoint, and security event logs within SIEM platforms to detect risks, trends, control gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate investigations and resolve issues with vendor support teams for security tools and platforms.
• Conduct baseline analyses and apply system hardening enhancements in accordance with approved security standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams on security requirements, configuration issues, and risk-based remediation strategies.
• Monitor project activities and document security controls, configuration decisions, testing results, and implementation progress.
• Assist in secure configuration management and enablement of endpoint security across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure security, or endpoint/server security.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
• Familiarity with operating system security principles.
• Experience in endpoint/server hardening methodologies.
• Proficiency in supporting EDR, host-based firewall, SIEM, vulnerability assessment, and configuration baseline tools.
• Experience in log analysis and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, NIST guidelines, Zero Trust, and least privilege principles.
• Capability to implement least privilege and Zero Trust access control principles across endpoint and server environments.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with technical teams.
• Experience in identifying automation opportunities for recurring security tasks is a plus.
• Experience in promoting secure practices and security engineering standards across an enterprise environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation is a plus.
• Willingness to support after-hours maintenance activities as required during U.S. Eastern business hours is a plus.
