Embedded Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Utilize all-source intelligence (including alert feeds, traditional and social media, and internal sources) to track security incidents and trends within the client's operational areas and locations to evaluate their potential impact on personnel, assets, operations, events, and reputation.

• Assist the client's trust and safety function by monitoring and addressing issues related to the client's platform.

• Communicate security incidents to client stakeholders, adhering to established and practiced procedures.

• Keep track of employee movements and their proximity to significant incidents and events, providing advice through necessary reporting methods.

• Engage in training and exercises to practice incident preparedness and response standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Aid internal stakeholders by providing ad hoc reports on geopolitical developments, scenario planning, forecasts, and other relevant topics.

• Investigate and analyze a broad spectrum of information to produce insightful analyses in compliance with tight deadlines, including presenting and integrating pertinent data and visualizations.

• Address urgent formal requests for action on behalf of the client, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely submission.

• Perform all-source investigations into individuals and events to identify risk indicators, establish timelines, and support operational decisions.

• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Security Studies, Criminal Justice, Journalism, or a related field from an accredited institution; or equivalent professional experience.

• Master’s degree is preferred.

• At least 1-3 years of professional experience in an intelligence or customer-focused role in geopolitical risk, corporate security, due diligence, government, law enforcement, or a similar field.

• Proficiency in a foreign language is preferred.

• Capability to interpret, organize, and visualize data with high-level expertise in MS Office and Google Workspace tools, along with preferred experience in analytical software, OSINT tools, or mass notification systems (Navigator, AlertMedia).

• Ability to assess how geopolitical and security threats could affect private sector operations, travelers, and locations.

• Exceptional research skills with the ability to quickly digest, evaluate, and synthesize large volumes of information from various sources while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

• Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to offer thorough, innovative insights into complex situations and evaluate security implications for business operations.

• High personal initiative with the capability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions with minimal guidance while upholding quality standards.

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace tools, along with preferred experience in using specialized security software, analytical platforms, and open-source intelligence tools.
