This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and launch approximately 100 transactional and lifecycle emails in Maropost, including order confirmations, shipping notifications, refunds, cancellations, account updates, abandoned cart emails, welcome/onboarding messages, reorder flows, product review requests, and promotional campaigns.
• Design a reusable, modular component library along with a global header/footer system that aligns with the client's new design framework.
• Implement dynamic templates based on Liquid with conditional logic for variables such as customer type (e.g., preferred customer versus unaffiliated buyer), autoship versus non-autoship, affiliate flows, subscription lifecycle events, and lead routing.
• Set up multi-country and multi-language localization features.
• Review the client's existing Mandrill email inventory and assist in migrating flows to Maropost, or support a hybrid approach if necessary.
• Connect Shopify triggers to Maropost flows and ensure end-to-end functionality while collaborating on the broader platform migration.
• Work in tandem with subscription tools (Seal Subscriptions) for email events related to subscriptions.
• Facilitate a thorough QA phase that includes testing business logic variability, localization, deliverability, and rendering across major clients and devices.
• Document templates, components, and conditional logic to empower the client's marketing team to manage and expand the system after launch.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical email development experience with hands-on production builds inside an ESP.
• Direct experience with Maropost is strongly preferred.
• Previous involvement in executing an ESP migration, ideally transitioning from Mandrill to another platform.
• Proficient in Liquid templating (or similar ESP templating languages).
• Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS for email, including tables, inline styles, MSO conditional comments, dark mode handling, and responsive techniques that are compatible with Outlook.
• Experience in integrating an ESP with Shopify (or a similar e-commerce platform), including event-triggered transactional flows.
• Ability to accurately translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect production templates.
• Strong attention to detail concerning conditional logic, edge cases, and localization variations.
• Familiarity with email QA tools (such as Litmus, Email on Acid, or equivalent).
• Competitive compensation.
• Generous vacation policy.
• Parental leave.
