This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Offer technical EHS support to Real Estate, Facilities, and project teams to guarantee adherence to relevant federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Interpret and relay OSHA, EPA, and company EHS standards to project teams, contractors, and facility management.
• Stay updated on the latest EHS regulations and ensure compliance with Siemens Healthineers standards and directives.
• Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance across construction projects, facility operations, and work managed by contractors.
• Collaborate with Real Estate Project Managers and site teams to incorporate EHS requirements into construction and facilities-related initiatives.
• Evaluate project-specific EHS plans to ensure they meet company standards, contractual obligations, and relevant regulations.
• Aid in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of EHS requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support contractor prequalification, onboarding, oversight, and project closeout processes.
• Oversee contractor coordination on active project sites and identify hazards related to contractor activities and multi-employer worksites.
• Perform site inspections, audits, and assessments to assess contractor compliance and safety performance.
• Identify workplace hazards and suggest suitable engineering controls, administrative measures, and personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with Project and Facility Managers to devise incident prevention strategies and enhance workplace safety.
• Assist in incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective action planning, and documenting lessons learned.
• Ensure that incident reporting adheres to OSHA recordkeeping requirements where applicable.
• Promote compliance with environmental regulations concerning waste management, hazardous materials, spill prevention, and environmental protection.
• Prepare and manage internal and external EHS reporting requirements.
• Analyze EHS performance data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for ongoing improvement.
• Conduct EHS training and awareness initiatives for employees, contractors, and project teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety supporting construction, facility management, contractor-managed work, or capital projects in a regulated setting.
• Proficient understanding of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910 and 1926), EPA rules, and construction safety practices.
• Experience in conducting site inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ability to provide technical EHS guidance across various project teams and stakeholders.
• Preferably five or more years of EHS experience in construction, facilities, real estate, manufacturing, laboratory, healthcare, or other regulated environments.
• Proven experience in managing contractors, including prequalification, onboarding, field oversight, safety documentation review, and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Professional certifications such as OSHA 30, CHST, ASP, CSP, or equivalent construction safety certification are preferred.
