This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee the strategy and implementation of Medical Affairs for the Advanced Diagnostics Division.
• Collaborate with Research & Development, marketing, sales, and regulatory teams.
• Identify gaps in evidence and contribute to strategies for real-world evidence, clinical research, and publications.
• Act as a scientific advisor for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Keep track of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to guide strategic decisions.
• Partner with laboratory medicine organizations and represent the company at conferences, events, and to key opinion leaders.
• Provide strategic direction to product development teams.
• Champion the adoption of AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency, reporting, and workflow management.
• Establish and refine metrics to assess the performance and impact of Medical Affairs.
• Convert complex medical and scientific data into actionable insights for the business.
• Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning throughout the organization.
• Mentor and guide team members in their professional development and growth.
• Advanced medical or scientific degree in life sciences or a related field.
• More than 10 years of experience as a Director of a Clinical Microbiology Laboratory or in equivalent leadership roles within laboratory medicine, infectious disease diagnostics, or precision medicine settings is preferred.
• Proven leadership and experience in team management.
• Thorough understanding of emerging technologies in infectious disease diagnostics, scientific study design, implementation, and data analysis.
• Significant experience in conducting and publishing scientific studies in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
• High credibility with both internal stakeholders and external clinical experts.
• Expert knowledge of microbiology and clinical laboratory practices.
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory workflows and real-world diagnostic applications.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively in cross-functional team settings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven capabilities in leadership and mentoring, including managing direct reports.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Adherence to the highest scientific and ethical standards in both external and internal interactions.
• Sharp business acumen and critical thinking abilities.
• Results-oriented, process-driven, and effective at setting and achieving goals.
• Proficient in conveying complex medical and scientific data to diverse audiences.
• Ability to identify unmet clinical needs and assess product opportunities from a medical standpoint.

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, with anticipated travel of up to 20%.
