• Take ownership of the vision, roadmap, and implementation for Customer.io's billing platform.

• Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Engineering leadership to ensure billing strategies align with the company's objectives.

• Make informed build-vs-buy decisions with confidence.

• Mentor and cultivate the skills of engineering managers and senior technical leaders.

• Foster a culture centered on accountability, transparency, and ongoing improvement.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance team productivity.

• A minimum of 12 years in software engineering, with over 8 years in leadership roles for engineering teams.

• At least 4 years of experience managing engineering managers and/or directors.

• A proven history of leading complex, custom platform projects from inception to completion in a SaaS or marketplace environment.

• In-depth knowledge of SaaS software architecture and cloud-native infrastructure.

• Experience in areas that involve significant platform complexity.

• Capability to translate intricate technical challenges into clear strategic plans.

• A strong history of building and leading high-performing teams.

• Demonstrated leadership in AI-driven initiatives.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and making tough decisions among competing priorities.
