This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• The Director of Business Intelligence serves as the strategic leader overseeing the Company’s enterprise data, analytics, and forecasting capabilities.
• This position is responsible for consolidating data from various sources such as CRM, ERP, HRIS, project performance, and financial systems into a cohesive, decision-grade intelligence framework.
• The Director is tasked with setting both the technical and operational direction for the Business Intelligence platform, building and managing a high-performing analytics team, and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and executive usability of all metrics, dashboards, and forecasts.
• This role involves establishing and upholding BI platform standards, as well as modernizing the data and analytics infrastructure utilizing Azure Data Lake and Microsoft Fabric.
• Lead the design and implementation of an integrated forecasting capability and provide leadership with tools for modeling the downstream effects of business decisions.
• Ensure that platform architecture, analytics delivery, and business requirements are in alignment.
• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft data and BI ecosystem, including Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Azure Data Lake, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong practical knowledge of data integration, dimensional modeling, semantic layer design, and contemporary lakehouse architecture, enabling the setting of technical direction without hands-on engineering.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise forecasting and scenario-planning capabilities that integrate data from CRM, ERP, HRIS, and project or operational systems.
• Familiarity with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Capacity to convert complex data and analytics into clear, decision-ready insights for C-suite audiences, with the executive presence required to influence decisions and the storytelling skills to effectively communicate data.
• Proficient in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to innovation across the company.
• Strong communication skills in both oral and written formats (covering technical and non-technical information).
• Proven ability to build, lead, and nurture high-performing BI and analytics teams, including establishing delivery practices, modeling standards, and operational routines.
• Capability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills, enabling the management of multiple tasks concurrently.
