Digital Consulting Architect, CPQ

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Function as the leading technical authority for CPQ and Quote-to-Cash projects, representing Zaelab in client-facing architectural discussions, solution evaluations, and technical decision-making.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in Quote-to-Cash processes, encompassing product modeling, pricing strategies, discounting, approvals, contracts, and downstream order fulfillment. Oversee the architecture and functional design of custom product configurators, utilizing technologies such as Logik.ai (ServiceNow). Transform intricate revenue models into scalable CPQ architectures that adhere to platform best practices.

• Create scalable and secure architectures that integrate with commerce platforms, ERP systems, CDPs, middleware, and other enterprise systems. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop prototypes and proofs of concept to validate requirements and solution strategies.

• Execute business and technical discovery, evaluating current revenue systems and defining future CPQ roadmaps. Lead business process mapping sessions and produce comprehensive functional and architectural documentation. Conduct gap analyses and identify opportunities for enhancing business processes through CPQ and commerce capabilities.

• Maintain a proactive role in solution delivery, contributing to configuration, development, and technical problem-solving alongside the team. Work closely with developers to guarantee accurate and efficient implementation of designs. Address complex functional and technical issues, identifying root causes and driving resolution.

• Resolve intricate technical challenges, ensuring ongoing delivery momentum and high-quality outcomes.

• Mentor consultants, developers, and analysts on CPQ architecture patterns, platform capabilities, and delivery best practices. Guide teams in balancing functional requirements with technical feasibility and long-term maintainability. Establish quality standards for CPQ design, documentation, and execution.

• Collaborate with Solution Engineering and Sales teams to outline engagements, propose architectural strategies, and convey solution value to B2B clients. Build trusted relationships with client sponsors and stakeholders, steering strategic decision-making. Clearly communicate the value of CPQ solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Contribute to Zaelab accelerators, templates, and repeatable CPQ implementation patterns. Stay updated on CPQ, commerce, and platform trends, sharing insights both internally and externally. Engage in internal enablement, client workshops, and industry/community forums.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in enterprise consulting or solution architecture, including complex platform implementations and integrations.

• At least 3 years dedicated specifically to CPQ, Quote-to-Cash, B2B Commerce, or complex product configurations.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering custom CPQ or product configurator solutions.

• Proficiency in integrating CPQ with CRM, ERP, commerce platforms, and middleware.

• Practical experience with modern web and integration technologies (JavaScript, REST/SOAP, APIs).

• Experience in digital commerce, service modernization, or customer experience transformation is a significant advantage. A background in Manufacturing and B2B is a plus.

• Proven capability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable architectural plans.

• Documented experience in designing or implementing AI-driven workflows or using AI insights to enhance service operations.

• - Certified System Administrator (within 60 days)

• - ServiceNow CPQ / Product Configuration (Logik.ai) Certification (or equivalent CPQ certification)

• - Certified Technical Architect (within the first year)
