DevSecOps Engineer – Pipeline, Salesforce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• The Salesforce Pipeline Engineer will assist the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Loan Guaranty Service (LGY) within the production operations setting.

• This role entails managing and maintaining Salesforce deployment pipelines, facilitating automated builds and deployments, and ensuring that code modifications are advanced through environments in line with VA OIT release management procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Oversee and sustain Salesforce deployment pipelines that support LGY environments.

• Configure and manage automated deployment processes for Salesforce code and metadata.

• Assist with release deployments coordinated by the Release Manager.

• Diagnose Salesforce deployment failures and resolve environment-related issues.

• Uphold version control practices for Salesforce development artifacts.

• Coordinate promotions between development, testing, and production environments.

• Track pipeline performance and metrics related to deployment success.

• Ensure that deployments adhere to OIT change management policies.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for Salesforce deployment processes and methodologies.

• Collaborate with development teams to confirm that Salesforce code is ready for deployment.

• Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of experience in supporting Salesforce development or deployment environments.

• Proficient in managing Salesforce CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

• Strong comprehension of Salesforce environments and metadata management.

• Preferred Skills:

• Experience in supporting VA or federal government systems.

• Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform certification.

• Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps tools (Gearset, Copado, AutoRABIT, or similar).

• Understanding of AWS-based integrations.

• Knowledge of ITIL change management processes.
