DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the design, execution, and operational management of secure development, cloud, and endpoint security measures.

• Integrates information security controls directly into engineering and IT processes.

• Concentrates on vulnerability management, establishing security baselines, threat modeling, and secure architectural design.

• Utilizes AI technologies, including AWS AI services and Claude, to standardize, streamline, and enhance security operations.

• Develops and implements secure architectural patterns across applications, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.

• Performs threat modeling and security design evaluations for new systems and significant modifications.

• Oversees vulnerability management utilizing GitHub, AWS Inspector, Microsoft Defender, and CrowdStrike Falcon.

• Ensures vulnerabilities are assessed, tracked, and addressed within specified SLAs.

• Designs and enforces AWS security baselines, including VPC configurations, security groups, and perimeter defenses.

• Detects and resolves unintended network exposure.

• Employs AWS AI services and Claude to standardize vulnerability analysis, remediation processes, and reporting.

• Guarantees that AI applications are auditable, explainable, and secure.

• Develops and sustains security baselines in alignment with NIST CSF, SOC 2, and HIPAA where applicable.

• Creates audit-ready documentation and metrics.

• Collaborates with Engineering and IT teams to embed security within delivery workflows.

• Articulates security risks and remediation progress to Information Security leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in DevSecOps, security engineering, or cloud security positions.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience with AWS, GitHub, Microsoft Defender, and CrowdStrike Falcon.

• Proficient in vulnerability management and threat modeling.

• Skilled in utilizing AI tools (AWS AI services, Claude) to enhance security operations.

• Strong documentation and communication abilities.
