DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete software engineering security hygiene process, from identifying vulnerabilities and misconfigurations to applying robust fixes across our platform.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps and Engineering teams to integrate security best practices into daily workflows, ensuring that velocity remains unaffected.

• Keep up-to-date with the evolving landscape of cloud security threats, tools, and best practices, ensuring that Raya's infrastructure stays ahead of potential risks.

• Assess, prioritize, and systematically resolve security issues, converting scanner outputs into practical, actionable engineering solutions.

• Develop and uphold security checks and guardrails within CI/CD pipelines and the wider PDLC, making security an integral part of our delivery process rather than an afterthought.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with **AWS** and **Kubernetes/EKS**, adept at navigating cloud infrastructure and container environments from the outset.

• Strong grounding in **security fundamentals**: including vulnerability management, IAM, network security, and cloud security posture management.

• Proven experience in triaging and resolving security findings originating from vulnerability scanners or cloud security tools.

• Familiarity with **CI/CD pipelines** and the integration of security practices within the software development lifecycle.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with both DevOps and Security stakeholders, and translating technical risks into clear priorities.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform/OpenTofu), compliance frameworks, or container security tools.
