DevOps Engineer – Security Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Establishing, operating, and enhancing our cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform.

• Designing and managing secure CI/CD pipelines, including automated security tests such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and Secret Scanning.

• Hardening the platform through container security, network segmentation, zero-trust principles, and professional secrets management.

• Taking responsibility for vulnerability management, which includes identifying, prioritizing, and patching vulnerabilities.

• Advancing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, including observability and SIEM integration.

• Participating in incident response and on-call processes while promoting a robust post-mortem culture.

• Managing and developing identity and access management based on the least privilege principle.

• Advising and enabling development teams in secure software development and DevSecOps principles.

• Supporting GDPR, data protection, and audit requirements, especially in the context of passenger data and regulatory compliance.

• Continuously improving recovery and backup strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.

• At least 4 years of professional experience as a DevOps, SRE, or platform engineer.

• Strong knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Excellent skills in Infrastructure as Code, for example with Terraform or Ansible.

• Experience with at least one major cloud provider like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.

• Proven experience in the security domain, including Secure SDLC, threat modeling, OWASP Top 10, or secrets management.
