DevOps Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You establish the technical groundwork that enables our product teams to deploy swiftly, safely, and autonomously.

• You construct our CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab CI and continually enhance their functionality.

• You oversee build, test, and release automation for various product teams.

• You containerize both existing and new components using Docker and manage applications on Kubernetes, which includes the creation and maintenance of Helm charts.

• You sustain and further advance our Debian-based distributions.

• You set reusable standards and workflows for consistent deployments and releases.

• You oversee vulnerabilities and ensure a resilient, secure software supply chain.

• You collaborate closely with tech leads, development teams, and product management.

• Your contributions impact all product teams and sustainably expedite releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional knowledge of GitLab CI.

• Strong experience with Docker and containerization techniques.

• Practical expertise in build and release automation processes.

• Proficient understanding of Kubernetes (deployments, debugging, Helm).

• Comprehension of automated testing within the CI/CD framework (integration testing is preferable).

• Excellent proficiency in both German and English.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with deployments on Debian or Ubuntu.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

• Skills in Python and/or Bash for scripting and tooling purposes.

• Experience in modernizing legacy systems.

• Understanding of operations (customer operations, updates, monitoring, stability).
