DevOps Engineer, Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the release of new software versions and product updates.

• Design, optimize, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Automate the deployment flow across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.

• Define and ensure adherence to version control and branching strategies, utilizing best practices such as Gitflow or Trunk-Based Development.

• Coordinate code review processes and version control to ensure the quality of deliveries.

• Implement advanced deployment strategies such as Blue-Green Deployments, Canary Releases, and Feature Flags.

• Ensure complete traceability of artifacts from testing environments to production.

• Design and implement automated rollback mechanisms to minimize risks during releases.

• Integrate automated testing, smoke tests, regression testing, and static code analysis within the deployment pipeline.

• Collaborate with development, operations, security, and architecture teams to ensure efficient and reliable delivery processes.

• Lead incident management related to deployments and coordinate recovery actions when necessary.

• Document processes, release checklists, and post-mortem analyses to drive continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Professional background in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Experience in release management, DevOps, or deployment automation.

• Strong experience managing version control tools such as Bitbucket or Git.

• Experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins or equivalent tools.

• Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience implementing continuous deployment strategies and progressive releases.

• Understanding of microservices architectures and REST APIs.

• Experience working in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Knowledge of observability and monitoring using Dynatrace.

• Ability to develop automation scripts in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security control automation.

• Experience integrating automated tests within delivery pipelines.
