DevOps Engineer IV – Obs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deploy, manage, and oversee web services within public cloud environments.

• Design and create solutions that are secure, highly available, performant, and scalable in elastic environments.

• Take ownership of all operational aspects of web services, including automation, monitoring, alerting, reliability, and performance.

• Innovate effective solutions to operational challenges that have a direct impact on the business.

• Lead the resolution and communication efforts during incidents that affect production.

• Direct technical projects and ensure that project-level deliveries are met.

• Collaborate efficiently with engineering and business teams across different continents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of professional experience in DevOps / Infrastructure management, including at least 5 years in AWS.

• Strong foundation in operating systems, networking, distributed systems, and systems architecture.

• A proven history of leading critical DevOps projects successfully.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services, orchestration (ECS, EKS), and infrastructure management.

• Proficient in observability concepts such as logs, metrics, and tracing.

• Familiarity with SaaS observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, NewRelic, Honeycomb, Dynatrace) and building in-house solutions (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana stack).

• Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Python, Bash).

• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Broad exposure to cloud-hosted applications, virtualization platforms, relational/non-relational databases, reverse proxies, and orchestration platforms.

• Outstanding communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Demonstrated curiosity, a commitment to continuous learning, and a desire to elevate the technical standards.
