This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for the company's web products, websites, and internal services using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
• Support the gradual migration of deployment processes from Jenkins to GitLab CI.
• Ensure stable, repeatable, and predictable deployments with rollback mechanisms and minimal manual steps.
• Configure and maintain Docker-based runtime environments for web applications and services.
• Standardize Docker, docker-compose, deployment scripts, and runtime configurations to minimize the need for regular rework.
• Administer Linux servers in a production environment: configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
• Automate infrastructure setup, configuration management, and maintenance processes using Ansible and Bash.
• Maintain web infrastructure: Nginx, SSL/TLS, reverse proxy, routing, Cloudflare, DNS, caching, and basic security rules.
• Configure, maintain, and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.
• Analyze deployment failures and production incidents, identify root causes, and suggest preventive measures.
• Support backup/restore, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting for MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Ensure the reliability and stability of production systems.
• Analyze production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and prepare technical conclusions after incidents.
• Implement and uphold security practices for Linux and web infrastructure: hardening, access control, updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Document infrastructure solutions, deployment workflows, configurations, and significant changes.
• Coordinate production changes with the team, communicate risks, and avoid critical changes without transparent communication.
• Proactively identify weaknesses in deployment, infrastructure, and application architecture that may lead to instability and initiate their resolution.
• 3+ years of experience administering Linux servers in a production environment (systemd, networking, firewall, SSH, logging, storage, processes, performance troubleshooting).
• Solid understanding of network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, WebSockets, reverse proxy, routing, network troubleshooting).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and docker-compose (runtime environments, networking, volumes, debugging, optimization).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), including automated deployment, rollback, and minimizing downtime.
• Experience in infrastructure and configuration automation (Ansible).
• Experience working with Nginx (reverse proxy, SSL, routing, deploying web applications).
• Understanding of SRE principles: reliability, observability, incident response, root cause analysis.
• Experience with monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Promtail, Sentry or similar) and building alerting strategies.
• Basic/intermediate experience administering MySQL/PostgreSQL (backup/restore, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Understanding of best security practices for Linux and web infrastructure (hardening, access control, SSL/TLS, patching, vulnerability handling).
• Strong troubleshooting skills: problem localization, root cause analysis, preventive actions.
• Independence and ownership in working on infrastructure tasks end-to-end.
• Proficiency in English at an Intermediate level (B1) or higher.
