DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Automate and Enhance: Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless code integration and deployment, focusing on minimizing time-to-market and enhancing product quality. Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Cloud Management: Supervise cloud-based systems and services, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.

• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Track system performance and promptly address issues to ensure high availability and reliable system operations.

• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with development, testing, and operations teams to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and implement DevOps best practices. Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be accepted as an alternative.

• At least 3 years of experience and proven proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Python, Java, Ruby, or Go, demonstrating the capability to script and automate tasks effectively.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, highlighting skills in automating the deployment, scaling, and management of application processes.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, including the deployment, management, and operation of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.

• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, indicating expertise in container deployment, scaling, and management.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus and the ELK stack for effective system monitoring and log management.

• Knowledge of source control tools, especially Git, emphasizing version control and collaboration in a distributed development environment.

• Understanding of networking, security, and database management, ensuring a holistic approach to system architecture and security considerations.

• Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to promote teamwork and cooperation.

• Exceptional English communication skills with team members, stakeholders, and customers, ensuring clear and effective information exchange.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to identifying and resolving system issues efficiently.

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of working independently and under pressure, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
