DevOps Automation Specialist, m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In your role as a VMware vRealize Automation (SaltStack) developer, you will translate our business needs into effective automation logic.

• Collaborating within a team, you will assess the operational processes for our Managed Services clients and enhance them through suitable automation solutions.

• Your expertise and experience will contribute to elevating the quality and efficiency of workflows related to deployment tasks, software updates, and various technical administrative responsibilities.

• You will play a key role in the strategic and technical advancement of the related internal IT infrastructures.

• Alongside troubleshooting and remediation, you will refine and enhance existing application logic.

• You will take charge of independently documenting projects you have implemented and provide training to our internal staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a vocational qualification as an IT specialist in application development (Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung) or have a similar credential.

• You have experience in developing and supporting initial solutions with VMware vRealize Automation (SaltStack) or similar data center automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).

• You have excellent proficiency in the Python programming language.

• You are knowledgeable about Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as scripting languages like Shell and PowerShell.

• Ideally, you have some experience with database management systems such as Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, etc.

• You demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities and are adaptable.

• You enjoy collaborative work and exhibit a high level of commitment.

• A good command of English enhances your qualifications.
