Development Team Leader, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of Python developers, ensuring alignment on objectives, quality standards, and delivery schedules.

• Mentor and guide team members to foster their technical and professional development.

• Promote engineering excellence by advocating best practices in coding, architecture, and testing methodologies.

• Plan and oversee team capacity, sprints, and milestones to guarantee reliable delivery.

• Collaborate with other Team Leaders, Development Managers, Architects, and Product Owners to align engineering execution with business goals.

• Ensure the effective implementation and adherence to agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) within the team.

• Contribute to the advancement of development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in commercial software development.

• 2+ years in a leadership role with Scrum teams, possessing a solid understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Strong technical proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming principles.

• Familiarity with the .NET ecosystem.

• Experience with microservices, distributed architecture, GraphQL, REST APIs, event buses, and message queues (RabbitMQ).

• Expertise in Test Driven Development, as well as unit, integration, and acceptance testing.

• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL (MsSQL, MongoDB), Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

• Outstanding communication, teamwork, attention to detail, organizational, and leadership abilities.

• An analytical mindset with a talent for leading by example.

• Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead through example.

• Nice to Have

• Experience with front-end technologies (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and contemporary DevOps practices.

• Experience working within AWS/Azure cloud environments.

• Understanding of application performance monitoring tools.
