Developer, High-Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engages in activities that encompass the complete software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to supporting the final deployment of functionalities developed, adhering to agile methodologies.

• Be part of the development team by taking on work items for development during each Sprint.

• Conduct development-related tasks such as analysis and design, programming, testing, and requirements gathering.

• Manage personal workload effectively, promptly notifying the team of any delays or obstacles encountered.

• Provide mentorship and support to fellow developers within the software project development team.

• Write and integrate software components according to the specified technical requirements, utilizing the designated development tools, programming languages, and libraries for the project.

• Identify, construct, and validate developed components to ensure quality assurance.

• Execute corrective and evolutionary maintenance on software components.

• Prepare technical documentation in accordance with the contractual requirements of the engagement.

• Integrate components created with those developed by other team members, using the defined integration tool for the project.

• Establish and configure the local development environment based on project specifications and needs.

• Offer support to the IT team and client users when requested, regarding the features and specifics of the developed components, modules, and software packages.

• Conduct and execute integration testing within the client environment to ensure comprehensive functionality of the software and its components.

• Oversee acceptance testing and deployment of the software in client environments as stipulated in the contract.

• Facilitate training and knowledge transfer to the client regarding the developed software to ensure proper system operation.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the development and maintenance of systems within an IBM z/OS mainframe environment, focusing on COBOL, DB2, and CICS.

• Proficient in Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or higher; DB2; SQL; analyzing execution plans; CICS (maps, transactions, VSAM); JCL; TSO/ISPF; SDSF.

• Familiarity with tools such as IBM: z/OS, RDz (or IDz), DB2, MainView; Compuware: Xpediter, Abend-AID, File-AID; BMC: Control-M; Eccox: QC-COBOL, QC-DB2; CA: CA GEN, CA SCM.

• Experience in configuration management (Endevor or similar).

• Knowledge of practices for version control, code review, and technical documentation.

• Understanding of principles related to unit and integration testing.
