This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Oversee all IT procurement activities for the location, including vendor identification, solution evaluation, and ensuring the smooth delivery of IT assets.
• Work closely with local management and coordinate efforts with IT leadership, directly reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Desktop Support based in India.
• Manage a wide range of IT functions, partnering with the network team to troubleshoot network and wireless issues while collaborating with the systems team for server-related matters.
• Maintain IT assets for the Malaysia Rimini office locations.
• Ensure successful onboarding and offboarding of employees on their start date.
• Handle IT procurement for international offices, focusing especially on workstations and accessories.
• Support local IT procurement and vendor coordination for the Malaysia region.
• Follow up on tickets to ensure timely resolution within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
• Provide desktop-level support in a 24x7 support model on a rotational basis.
• Create and manage Active Directory user accounts, access, and groups.
• Set up workstation areas, including computers, laptops, monitors, printers, analog phones, and VoIP equipment.
• Troubleshoot all workstation-related software, including but not limited to: operating systems, web browsers (IE, FF, Chrome), Microsoft Office (O365), Pulse Secure VPN client, and Druva VM setup and troubleshooting – Amazon Workspaces.
• Conduct network troubleshooting (WiFi, Ethernet, NIC, Switch, etc.).
• Provide telecom support for various devices (iPhones, Mitel, and Analog phones).
• Adhere to all internal processes and procedures (ISO 27001, QMS 9000, and various related documentation).
• 3-5 years of experience as a Desktop Analyst.
• Understanding of corporate culture.
• Familiarity with working within a global team.
• ITIL4 Certification.
• Proficiency in both English and Malaysian local languages.
• Knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems.
• Familiarity with MAC.
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux networks, firewalls, and remote access.
• Knowledge of Office365 and MS Outlook.
• Experience with VMs (Amazon Workspaces, vSphere).
