Design Lead – Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the comprehensive product design vision for a data-rich enterprise platform.

• Convert intricate lineage, migration impact, governance, and blast-radius workflows into intuitive, easily navigable product experiences.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to determine what is developed, for whom, and the rationale behind it.

• Design for two distinct audiences simultaneously: technical users requiring in-depth features and senior stakeholders needing assurance in their decisions.

• Develop and uphold the design system, establish quality benchmarks, and create consistent standards for future product interfaces.

• Conduct user discovery and research; translate findings into product direction, design choices, and prioritization insights.

• Leverage AI throughout the design process, including research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, iteration, and enhancing productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven senior or lead-level product design experience in enterprise, B2B SaaS, or similarly intricate product environments.

• Strong product insight; you have impacted what is created and the rationale behind it, not just the visual aspects.

• A portfolio showcasing complex, data-intensive interfaces simplified: dashboards, graphs, visualizations, technical workflows, or enterprise applications.

• Robust instincts for information design and data visualization.

• Comprehensive ownership of a design system, encompassing components and standards through to adoption and maintenance.

• Proficiency in collaborating directly with product and engineering teams, demonstrating examples of transforming concepts from inception to deployment.

• Experience in establishing a design function, practice, or product design standard from the ground up.

• Familiarity with AI, including specific instances of its application in real design projects and the outcomes achieved.
