Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with internal teams to gain expertise in Skydio’s Deployment products, processes, specifications, and product roadmap.

• Ensure the software and hardware of our cloud-connected devices are operational and delivering value as per our customer's ecosystem after installation, configuration, testing, and adjustments as required.

• Engage with customers to guarantee that all their needs are recognized and addressed.

• Work alongside various internal departments to ensure that all customer requests are fulfilled.

• Address complaints and maintain records of all processes related to the client's needs.

• Act as the representative for the customer to ensure their demands are met, with an emphasis on enhancing the customer experience.

• Oversee and manage all implementation projects with our large enterprise clients to ensure successful delivery of technology and services.

• Create and maintain deployment and installation documentation, as well as document Standard Operating Procedures for customers to ensure proper usage and value from deployment. Gather product feedback and brief executives to guide software and hardware engineering in better aligning with customer needs.

• Foster customer loyalty through proactive support and account management.

• Develop scalable processes for the installation of cloud-connected devices on secure, enterprise-grade networks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting cloud-connected devices.

• Required experience with WiFi networking.

• Familiarity with cloud applications.

• Understanding of Linux operating systems.

• Knowledge of mechanical and robotic systems.

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.

• Capability to obtain a Part 107 certificate.

• Preferred: Experience in Mapping, Surveying, and Photogrammetry within the Utilities or Public Safety sectors.

• Basic software development skills (scripting).

• Proficiency in IP networking and troubleshooting.

• Working knowledge of REST APIs and experience collaborating with customers to implement and test integrations.

• Cloud certifications.

• Degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, Geography, or related fields.
