Data/ML Solution Architect – GenAI, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and execution of data and AI/ML architecture solutions across both cloud and on-premise environments.

• Manage intricate customer interactions, offering strategic technical insights and ensuring alignment with customer business objectives.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, serving as a reliable technical advisor.

• Facilitate technical workshops, training sessions, and presentations.

• Define and implement processes for the data lifecycle, including ingestion, storage, processing, and visualization.

• Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals.

• Guarantee that solutions comply with security, compliance, and architectural frameworks (e.g., AWS Well-Architected, GCP Architecture Framework).

• Lead cross-functional teams, providing mentorship and guidance to technical personnel.

• Design and implement proofs of concept for emerging technologies such as Generative AI and Machine Learning.

• Promote best practices for backend/ML services to create scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Supervise data governance and quality assurance processes across various platforms.

• Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and continually refine the architectural strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in solutions architecture, with a strong emphasis on Big Data and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and clearly articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in technical sales or pre-sales in the contexts of cloud, big data, and ML solutions.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.

• Strategic mindset focused on delivering measurable business outcomes.

• Proven track record of building strong customer relationships and serving as a trusted advisor.

• Expertise in data engineering and analytics, including designing data pipelines and architectures using the AWS, GCP, or Azure data stack.

• Comprehensive understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating AI/ML components into solutions.

• Demonstrated experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data analytics.

• Proven background in microservice architecture and containerized deployment options.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications.

• Proficient in backend-related programming languages such as TypeScript, Java, Python, and others.

• Solid grasp of machine learning and MLOps tools (e.g., PyTorch, SageMaker, MLFlow).

• Demonstrated capability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies.

• Nice to Have:

• Experience in implementing Generative AI solutions.

• Proficiency with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, AWS Neptune).

• Understanding of data mesh principles and data contracts.

• Operational knowledge of infrastructure deployment tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
