• Define and lead the enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, data architecture, and the adoption of AI/ML technologies.
• Design and implement contemporary cloud data platforms, including lakehouses, data warehouses, and streaming architectures.
• Establish and uphold standards for data architecture.
• Take ownership of and define frameworks for enterprise data governance, covering aspects like data ownership, stewardship, lineage, metadata, and quality standards.
• Develop data management operating models and governance processes that integrate business and engineering teams.
• Design and construct scalable, dependable, and high-performance data pipelines.
• Optimize data platforms to enhance performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and accessibility of data across all layers.
• Enable AI-ready data platforms, guaranteeing governed, traceable, and high-quality datasets suitable for analytics and machine learning.
• Conduct assessments of data maturity and outline transformation roadmaps.
• Facilitate client workshops, architecture discussions, and pre-sales engagements.
• Create and present solution architectures, proposals, and technical strategies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Develop reference architectures, best practices, and reusable assets.
• Mentor engineers while contributing to the development of a high-performing data engineering and architecture capability.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture and hands-on data engineering.
• Experience within the Supply Chain industry, including warehouse operations, WMS, TMS, EDI, YMS, etc.
• Strong hands-on experience in building and optimizing:
• Batch and streaming data pipelines.
• ETL/ELT processes.
• Scalable and high-performance data solutions.
• Optimize data platforms for performance and cost efficiency, while balancing scalability, reliability, and expenses.
• In-depth understanding of:
• Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Data modeling approaches (dimensional, Data Vault, lakehouse modeling).
• Proven experience in defining and implementing:
• Enterprise data governance frameworks encompassing data ownership, stewardship, lineage, and quality standards.
• Data management operating models aligned with specific business domains.
• Experience in establishing:
• Data standards, naming conventions, and metadata management practices.
• Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, a sense of ownership and accountability, along with the ability to present complex concepts tailored to diverse audiences.
• Experience in client-facing roles that include facilitating workshops and discovery sessions, as well as presenting architecture and strategy to senior stakeholders.
