This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and oversee the implementation of scalable data solutions across contemporary cloud data platforms, such as Databricks and Snowflake, utilizing best-practice patterns and reference architectures.
• Spearhead pre-sales and business development initiatives by evaluating current environments, pinpointing client challenges, comparing platform alternatives, and substantiating ROI for customized data solutions.
• Counsel client executives (CTOs, CDOs) on data strategy, platform selection, modernization roadmaps, and enterprise-scale architectural decisions.
• Act as the architectural authority during project delivery, ensuring adherence to governance, quality standards, and alignment with the original scope, while serving as an escalation point for delivery teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, BI, platform, integration, and analytics, to foster innovation and facilitate data democratization.
• Mentor and guide data practitioners, leading technical discussions and execution of deliverables without direct management responsibilities.
• Keep abreast of platform advancements and emerging capabilities within the cloud data ecosystem, focusing on innovations in analytics, governance, and AI tooling.
• Over 10 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, solution architecture, or similar fields.
• Robust hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms, particularly Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Demonstrated capability in supporting pre-sales efforts, including conducting discovery sessions, technical assessments, demonstrations, and proposal creation.
• Profound knowledge of enterprise data architecture, data governance frameworks, and scalable solution design.
• Experience in leading or assisting with platform migrations from on-premises or legacy systems to contemporary cloud data solutions.
• Ability to practically evaluate data platforms (e.g., Databricks vs. Snowflake) and clearly communicate trade-offs, cost considerations, and ROI implications.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical ideas into understandable business outcomes.
