Data Model – Semantics Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Engage in and lead discussions, models, and decisions that structure data for a global enterprise, transforming complex business processes into clear, reusable information models aligned with the data strategy.

• Maintain and evolve the Enterprise Data Model and the organization’s Data Domain Map.

• Define concepts, taxonomies, and semantic standards that everyone can understand and apply.

• Conduct meetings with senior business stakeholders to understand how the business operates and model it into consistent information structures.

• Collaborate with data teams, solution architecture, and engineering to ensure the proper implementation of models in Google Cloud environments and analytics tools like Power BI.

• Define and promote best practices for modeling across the organization, encouraging the adoption of shared models among different business domains.

• Ensure alignment between information architecture, data governance, and data quality.

• Participate in the continuous improvement of tools such as data catalogs and metadata management systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as an Information Architect, Data Architect, or in a similar role.

• Ability to transform complex business concepts into clear, actionable data models.

• Strong experience in conceptual and logical modeling at the enterprise level.

• Experience in semantic modeling, taxonomies, ontologies, and business glossaries.

• Familiarity with data governance and enterprise architecture environments.

• Experience in data environments on Google Cloud (BigQuery) and visualization tools like Power BI, as well as other technologies within the Google ecosystem.

• Strong communication skills: proficient in both Spanish and English.
