This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Maintain professional communication with physician offices through both verbal and written interactions at all times.
• Responsible for effective communication and documentation regarding clarification requests and their follow-up.
• Address and resolve internal inquiries within designated timeframes.
• Make outbound calls to physician offices to request prescription refills and/or to obtain updates on pending prescription clarification requests.
• Receive written prescription clarifications or refill requests and ensure that the provided information is complete and accurate.
• Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations.
• Understand the physical, psychological, and social challenges associated with specific disease states, assisting patients and Pharmacy Care Coordinators with drug therapy and pharmacy care matters.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Requires comprehensive training in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or related fields.
• Completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Typically requires three (3) years of experience in a healthcare-related call center environment, pharmacy physician's office, or social service setting.
• Active registration as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy is mandatory.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Strong organization and time management skills, along with a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and initiative.
• Attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, self-motivation, proactivity, and the capacity to work independently with a high degree of initiative are required.
