This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Create, develop, and sustain robust data transformation pipelines utilizing dbt (Data Build Tool) to implement version-controlled, tested, and documented data models.
• Design, manage, and enhance enterprise-scale data warehouses within Snowflake, ensuring optimal storage, compute sizing, clustering, and data-sharing strategies.
• Construct scalable ingestion pipelines to extract data from various enterprise source systems (including ERPs like SAP or Oracle, CRM platforms, and operational databases) and load it into Snowflake.
• Diagnose and refine complex SQL queries, dbt models, and Snowflake warehouse utilization to enhance execution speeds and efficiently manage costs.
• Establish stringent data quality checks, testing frameworks (employing dbt test configurations), and data monitoring patterns to guarantee enterprise data reliability and lineage accuracy.
• Apply and uphold best practices for modern data stack workflows, leveraging Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for seamless deployment of data models.
• Over 5 years of focused data engineering experience, placing significant emphasis on data warehouse modeling and pipeline development.
• Comprehensive, production-level expertise with Snowflake architecture, Snowpipe, tasks, streams, cloning, and secure data sharing.
• Advanced skills with dbt Core or dbt Cloud, including macros, packages, and custom testing strategies.
• Exceptional proficiency in SQL (complex joins, window functions, and query optimization techniques).
• Strong working knowledge of Python or Scala for developing custom data utilities or ingestion scripts.
• Solid command of Git workflows for collaborative data modeling and conducting code reviews.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments and a clear understanding of DevOps/DataOps principles.
• Prior experience in heavy manufacturing, building materials, logistics, or infrastructure sectors.
• Relevant certifications such as SnowPro Core / Advanced or dbt Certified Developer.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native data security principles.
