Data Engineer – Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will design, implement, and enhance scalable data pipelines to guarantee dependable and secure data flows.

• You will model and transform data following contemporary best practices, including version control, historical tracking, and thorough documentation.

• You will develop and manage ETL and ELT processes, along with orchestrated data pipelines.

• You will collaborate with modern cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and assist in the growth of our Data Platform.

• You will utilize Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Pulumi or Terraform, to further enhance our data platform in a reliable and scalable manner.

• You will analyze and refine data processes concerning performance, scalability, stability, and data quality.

• You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, product teams, and developers to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization.

• You will actively participate in the enhancement of our Data Engineering standards and assist in modernizing our existing BI and data ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, preferably in production cloud Data Platform environments.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Prefect or Airflow, BigQuery, or similar tools.

• Experience in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and constructing stable data pipelines.

• Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud platform.

• Preliminary experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Pulumi or Terraform.

• Strong analytical skills and the capability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

• Independent, organized, and solution-focused working style.

• Willingness to embrace agile methodologies, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in German at a minimum B2 level and confident in English.

• Residency in Germany is required.
