This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and Scale Data Infrastructure: Architect and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and systems throughout our technology stack.

• Drive Data Quality and Governance: Develop frameworks and standards that guarantee data is accurate, well-documented, and trustworthy at all levels.

• Evolve Our Platform: Continuously assess and enhance our solutions—optimizing for performance, cost, and scalability while applying best practices and a forward-thinking mindset to every decision.

• Enable the Business: Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, and business teams to create pipelines, data models, metric definitions, and semantic layers, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.

• Balance Speed and Scale: Identify when to act quickly with a practical solution and when to invest in creating the right system—clearly communicating these tradeoffs to stakeholders.

• Champion Modern Practices: Adopt AI-assisted development workflows, keep up-to-date with tools, and assist the team in continuously elevating performance standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a closely related field.

• Proficient in SQL and Python; comfortable working across the entire data stack.

• Hands-on experience with contemporary data tools and platforms such as Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.

• Experience in constructing data pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

• Familiarity with change data capture and event-driven data patterns.

• Solid understanding of modern warehouse and lakehouse architectures, as well as data modeling fundamentals including Kimball dimensional modeling and medallion design patterns.

• Experience with data quality frameworks and governance practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with AI-driven development tools (such as Cursor, Copilot, or similar) integrated into daily engineering workflows is a plus!
