This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and sustain custom integrations and ETL processes connecting K-12 data with internal and external systems.
• Design, implement, and enhance data pipelines.
• Work alongside stakeholders to grasp data requirements and provide robust, scalable solutions.
• Keep technical documentation updated for systems, data models, and processes.
• Oversee and resolve data flow issues while adapting to API modifications.
• Engage in cross-functional initiatives related to school operations, enrollment, attendance, and performance data.
• Conduct quality assurance (QA) on downstream data to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and compliance with customer needs.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a software engineering, data engineering, or SIS specialist position.
• Practical experience with Student Information Systems or other K-12 platforms, including APIs, data exports/imports, and plugin development.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SFTP, and other data exchange methods.
• Background in handling educational data.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with data quality assurance practices and tools, including dataset validation and reconciliation.
• Keen attention to detail and capability to convert customer data requirements into technical specifications and QA checks.
• Ability to operate independently in a fully remote environment.
