This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable data architectures that cater to operational, analytical, and machine learning workloads.

• Play a key role in the advancement of K1x’s data lakehouse strategy, focusing on the integration of Snowflake.

• Create and manage robust ETL/ELT pipelines for extensive data processing.

• Execute data quality checks, validation procedures, and monitoring systems.

• Facilitate machine learning workflows by providing clean and well-structured datasets.

• Assist in analytics and reporting initiatives, including those utilizing Power BI.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to deliver effective data solutions.

• 4–8+ years of experience in data engineering or backend engineering with a focus on data.

• Significant experience in constructing data pipelines and developing ETL/ELT workflows.

• Proficient in SQL and relational data modeling practices.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, with a preference for Azure.

• Knowledge of data quality, reliability, and monitoring principles.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• An engineering mindset applied to data platforms.

• A strong enthusiasm for building scalable and dependable data foundations.

• An interest in enabling machine learning and analytics-driven products.

• Experience or familiarity with Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure, and Power BI.
