This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and sustain automated data pipelines that transfer data from source systems (Salesforce, Xero, Ramp, product databases) into our central data lake and warehouses.
• Take ownership of the complete data architecture, encompassing storage strategy, processing systems, and pipeline orchestration.
• Execute and uphold ETL/ELT workflows that extract, transform, and load data into clean, analytics-ready formats.
• Collaborate with Data Insights Managers and business stakeholders to convert reporting requirements into effective technical data solutions.
• Develop automated validation and quality-check mechanisms within each pipeline to prevent inaccurate data from reaching reporting layers.
• Monitor pipeline performance in real-time; diagnose and resolve failures promptly to adhere to data availability SLAs.
• Uphold data standards, naming conventions, schema consistency, and access controls across all systems.
• Assist in the integration and maintenance of essential tools including Salesforce, Xero, Ramp, and Greenhouse into the data lake.
• Ensure the auditability of all data flows and support compliance and governance requirements.
• Work closely with the DIM TL and Director of Operations on the data roadmap and architectural decisions.
• 2-3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong expertise in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
• Practical experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
• Knowledge of pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lake architecture.
• Experience in integrating SaaS platforms (CRM, ERP, finance systems) via APIs and connectors.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a meticulous approach to data quality and reliability.
• Capacity to work independently in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
• Strong written communication skills — able to articulate technical decisions clearly for non-technical stakeholders.
