📋 Description

• Collaborate with fellow Engineers and Architects to establish the enterprise data architecture roadmap.

• Spearhead the design and optimization of OLTP and OLAP models to enhance scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Set standards for data modeling, storage, and integration across various systems.

• Work alongside key stakeholders within engineering to develop a thorough data and BI strategy that aligns with business objectives.

• Define practices for data governance, data access control, compliance, and quality standards.

• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives for emerging data technologies and frameworks.

• Oversee the architectural review process and provide guidance to development teams on data-related projects.

• Establish and maintain best practices for ORM usage (including Entity Framework and others) and SQL optimization based on business needs.

• Assess and recommend the application of AI/ML to enhance data-driven decision-making.

• Keep abreast of contemporary data engineering trends, cloud-native architectures, and big data platforms.

• Actively engage in and take responsibility for Data Architecture artifacts through the ADR process.

• Promote the adoption of AI by introducing and mentoring teams on utilizing AI capabilities within the data engineering domain to improve internal efficiency, innovation, and decision-making in daily workflows.

• Serve as a liaison between technology and product teams, assisting in translating business requirements into practical architectures that meet immediate and future business needs.

• Design data architectures that accurately represent and support the evolving complexities of product and business processes as required by our customer base.

• Lead data architecture projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams from concept through implementation, including governance and quality frameworks.

• Identify opportunities for predictive analytics and advanced modeling.

• Support and embody the company values through positive interactions with both internal and external stakeholders regularly.

• Participate in other strategic business initiatives or special cross-functional projects as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 10 years of relevant professional experience in architecting Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and optimizing large-scale data warehouse implementations for various business units, with a profound understanding of polyglot environments.

• Capability to architect scalable, high-performance solutions that support both analytical and operational workloads, including query optimization and index management.

• Proficient in articulating data architecture concepts, building consensus among stakeholders, and steering the organization toward scalable, well-governed solutions that provide measurable business value.

• Expertise in modern data architectures (e.g., Medallion, Data Lakehouse, MDM, DataMesh, Streaming) and dimensional modeling patterns (StarSchema, Snowflake, etc.).

• Proficient in cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, Databricks) and their integration with diverse data sources.

• In-depth understanding of visualization and reporting platforms for service analytics (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).

• Proficient in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models using the appropriate database technology (SQL, noSQL, Graph, etc.) based on workload characteristics, scalability needs, and data access patterns.

• Familiarity with ORM technologies such as Entity Framework.

• Experienced in building robust ETL/ELT pipelines ensuring data quality (validation, profiling, cleansing) and timeliness (experience with tools like FiveTran, dbt, Rivery is advantageous).

• Expertise in data governance frameworks, security, compliance, and stewardship.

• Background in DataOps, including CI/CD for data workflows, pipeline observability, and data quality practices.

• Awareness of emerging AI technologies and their implications for data architecture, including considerations for data governance, model training, code generation, and integration of machine learning and generative AI into enterprise data ecosystems.

• Interest and capability in mentoring and/or training other team members as appropriate.
