Data Annotator Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Gather, extract, and preprocess images and videos from various sources.

• Label and annotate images, videos, and metadata in accordance with established ML annotation guidelines.

• Ensure the annotated datasets maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and quality.

• Assist in the validation and auditing of datasets utilized for training machine learning models.

• Utilize Python scripts or tools to facilitate annotation workflows and perform basic data processing tasks.

• Collaborate with Data Science and ML teams to comprehend model requirements and enhance data quality.

• Adhere to deadlines while ensuring thorough documentation of annotation activities.

• Report any issues, edge cases, or anomalies identified in the datasets.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (students in their 6th to 8th semester are preferred).

• Solid understanding of fundamental Machine Learning concepts (e.g., classification, object detection, supervised learning).

• Proficient programming skills, particularly in Python.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.

• Previous experience or familiarity with image/video annotation.

• Knowledge of annotation tools such as Labelbox, Dataturks, CVAT, or similar platforms.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.

• Prior internship or project experience in data annotation, ML, or AI-related projects is preferred.

• Practical experience with Python scripting for data management or automation is preferred.

• Understanding of data formats such as JSON, CSV, XML, and basic dataset structuring is preferred.

• Familiarity with computer vision concepts (bounding boxes, segmentation, keypoints, etc.) is preferred.

• Basic exposure to ML libraries like NumPy, Pandas, OpenCV, or TensorFlow/PyTorch is preferred.
