This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Conduct research and analyze risk patterns present on Binance platforms by employing data-driven methodologies and quantitative analysis techniques to identify, assess, contain, and mitigate risks such as fraudulent trading, spam registrations, account takeovers, card acquiring risks, and payment fraud.
• Implement, oversee, and evaluate the effectiveness and stability of variables, rules, and models, regularly updating and refining strategies to enhance key risk metrics.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to formulate new rules and strategies that find an optimized balance between user experience and risk mitigation solutions.
• Business-Centric Strategic Analysis: Act and think like a business owner — utilize data analytics to uncover opportunities that streamline compliance operations, minimize friction, and drive tangible efficiency improvements. Transform complex regulatory and operational data into actionable insights that align with the company’s broader growth strategy.
• Executive-Level Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted and objective thought partner to Compliance business leaders and senior management, assisting in defining what 'success' entails for the function. Co-create north-star metrics, performance frameworks, and decision-making criteria that connect compliance objectives with company-wide priorities.
• Team Leadership & Impact Maximization: Lead and nurture the Compliance Data Analytics team with a clear vision and high standards. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture where each team member's strengths are fully leveraged — ensuring the team functions as a strategic force multiplier for the Compliance organization, rather than merely a reporting entity.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a focus in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related fields;
• A minimum of five years of experience in data analysis or data mining, with a preference for a background in risk analysis of financial derivatives (such as futures contracts, leveraged trading, etc.) or eCommerce platforms. Familiarity with blockchain, payment systems, and the risk domain is a plus;
• Proficient in SQL and at least one professional analysis tool, such as Python or R;
• Strong willingness and capability to learn, exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, along with effective coordination and communication abilities.
