Data Analyst – Internship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• The Data Analyst Internship is a work-based internship program.

• You will be assigned to actual on-site projects, contributing to the daily operations of team members, and actively participating as a team member in achieving missions.

• This internship provides an opportunity to experience the culture of Mercari or Merpay and gain a concrete understanding of working as a data analyst.

• Additionally, we encourage you to use this time to improve your skills while receiving feedback from experienced members and to reevaluate your career plans.

• As a member of the Data Analytics team, you will collaborate with various departments within the company and be responsible for the following tasks.

• You will have the chance to tackle complex and challenging issues related to cross-company decision-making within the Mercari Group.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in the flea market app "Mercari" through data analysis and make proposals.

• Maximize the effectiveness of marketing through data analysis.

• Basic knowledge of mathematics and statistics is required.

• Experience with SQL or the ability to learn and perform basic operations by the start of the selection process.

• Students who can join Mercari as new full-time employees in October 2027 or April 2028.
