This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will be tasked with executing the requirements set forth by the EU PIC Regulation (EC No. 649/2012) while ensuring adherence to all pertinent chemicals and hazardous goods legislation.
• Your responsibilities include preparing and managing export notifications and Explicit-Consent applications within the ECHA ePIC system, along with administering the corresponding RINs.
• You will assess Safety Data Sheets (SDS), evaluate CLP classifications, and keep track of regulatory changes.
• Ensuring compliance with dangerous goods regulations (ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG, IATA) is crucial, as is verifying packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements.
• You will be responsible for preparing mandatory reports, conducting internal audits, and identifying measures for improvement.
• Supporting business units with regulatory inquiries and actively contributing to process enhancement will be part of your role.
• You will identify areas for improvement and implement sustainable solutions across our European operations.
• Developing and delivering training programs on Dangerous Goods, transport compliance, and hazardous materials (Hazmat) management will be part of your responsibilities.
• Collaboration with teams across Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Trade Compliance throughout Europe will be essential.
• A university degree coupled with a strong understanding of chemical and dangerous goods legislation.
• Experience with the EU PIC Regulation, and familiarity with the ECHA ePIC system is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant dangerous goods regulations (ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG, and/or IATA).
• An analytical mindset and a structured, self-motivated approach to work.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and advance compliance initiatives without direct authority.
• A strong consulting mindset, capable of translating regulatory requirements into actionable business solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for collaborating across various business functions.
• Proficiency in German and a good command of the English language.
