Cybersecurity Engineer, GCP – Google Cloud Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents

• Support the operation of security controls in both on-premise environments and Google Cloud (GCP)

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation activities

• Manage and provide support for endpoint security platforms (EDR/XDR)

• Offer support for firewalls and network security controls

• Engage in incident investigations and continuous improvement projects

• Create documentation and operational security reports

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Networking, and Cloud teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Systems, Engineering, or a related field

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or Security Operations

• Familiarity with SIEM tools, EDR/XDR, or vulnerability management

• Knowledge or experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork orientation

• Preferred experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or similar SIEM tools

• Preferred experience with CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, or EDR solutions

• Desired knowledge of Qualys, Tenable, or Nessus

• Desired knowledge of security services in Google Cloud

• Preferably familiar with NIST Cybersecurity Framework or ISO 27001

• Remote applications are permitted only within Mexican territory
