Cybersecurity Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• Conduct a thorough cybersecurity risk assessment and provide a prioritized remediation strategy.

• Develop and execute the organization's comprehensive security strategy and roadmap.

• Implement security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection processes.

• Lead and enhance the security posture of Microsoft 365 and Azure (Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel, Purview).

• Take ownership of SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliance readiness and audit preparations.

• Define and enforce policies for Identity and Access Management (IAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) standards, and Zero Trust principles.

• Create and maintain security policies, standards, and documentation.

• Assess and manage security risks associated with third-party vendors and SaaS platforms.

• Supervise vulnerability management: including assessments, tracking, prioritization, and remediation coordination.

• Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), infrastructure teams, and leadership.

• Develop security awareness programs to foster a security-conscious culture.

• Manage and mentor the Cybersecurity Analyst, offering technical guidance and opportunities for professional growth.

• Communicate cybersecurity risks and program updates to senior leadership.

• Assess and recommend security tools and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 4–5 years of practical experience in IT-related projects, demonstrating a successful track record in technical or infrastructure-focused settings.

• At least 2–3 years in a dedicated security role or actively leading security initiatives.

• Must be operating on a Windows device.

• Proven hands-on experience with Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and/or Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

• Must be genuinely flexible and adaptable to potential shift changes as business requirements evolve.

• A stable and reliable internet connection is essential.

• A professional and dedicated remote working setup is necessary.
