Cyber-Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assessment of IT security risks and coordination of appropriate measures

• Further development and assurance of network and security standards

• Participation in the implementation of regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, NIS2, and BSI IT-Grundschutz

• Management and continuous optimization of SIEM, EDR, and XDR solutions

• Development of detection rules, use cases, alerts, and automated response measures

• Conducting security reviews and supporting internal and external audits

• Monitoring current threat landscapes and evaluating new security technologies and attack methods

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed studies in computer science, IT security, or a comparable field, or an equivalent education with relevant professional experience

• Several years of practical experience in IT security, such as a Cyber Security Engineer, Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or Security Administrator

• Solid knowledge in at least three of the following areas: SIEM and security monitoring, endpoint detection and response, network and firewall security, cloud security, identity and access management, vulnerability management, incident response

• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN, VLAN, and TLS

• Experience with Microsoft, Linux, or hybrid infrastructure environments

• In-depth knowledge of typical attack methods as well as common protection and detection measures
