
Customer Support – GIS Data Quality Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research to resolve exceptions identified through automated data quality, validation, and exception management processes.
• Analyze location-specific records utilizing GIS tools, aerial imagery, parcel data, address datasets, building footprints, geocodes, and other authoritative resources.
• Execute SQL queries to examine data anomalies, compare records across various datasets, validate data accuracy, and assist with exception resolution.
• Implement established business rules, procedures, and quality standards to determine suitable resolutions for flagged records.
• Record research findings, decisions, and supporting information in accordance with internal quality, audit, and documentation standards.
• Uphold productivity and quality benchmarks while managing a structured queue of research tasks based on exceptions.
• Identify trends, recurring exception patterns, root causes, and data quality issues, providing feedback for process, automation, and data integrity improvements.
• Collaborate with data operations, GIS, product, and related teams to enhance data quality, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
• Assist in the creation, refinement, and maintenance of research procedures, quality controls, standard operating procedures, and training documentation.
• Utilize GIS platforms and related tools to examine spatial relationships, validate location accuracy, interpret imagery, and assess property-related records.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the accuracy, consistency, efficiency, and scalability of geospatial data quality processes.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field is required, or equivalent work experience.
• GIS certification or advanced coursework in geospatial analysis, database management, spatial data science, data analytics, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience in GIS, geospatial analysis, location intelligence, land records research, data quality operations, or a similar analytical field.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data investigation, validation, comparison, and exception resolution.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS, PostGIS, or comparable GIS platforms.
• Proven experience working with large datasets and conducting structured research using repeatable processes, documented procedures, and quality standards.
• Strongly preferred experience in evaluating addresses, parcels, building footprints, geocodes, property records, or other location-based data.
• Preferred experience in documenting research findings, applying business rules, and maintaining quality standards in a structured production or operations environment.
