This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the accurate allocation of both direct and indirect production costs to inventory by tracking production postings and creating reports and KPIs that assist relevant departments in implementing corrective or mitigating actions for any discrepancies.
• Detect and analyze discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs, provide justifications for any differences, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Establish inventory-related provisions in line with accounting standards and the company's policies.
• Assist in the physical inventory process and document any adjustments made.
• Ensure adherence to the accounting close schedule by utilizing processes and metrics that enable various departments to understand how their activities influence the closing process and the associated deadlines.
• Aid other departments in their decision-making by elucidating the financial implications of proposed scenarios and supplying relevant financial data.
• Reconcile accounting balances, pinpointing and rectifying discrepancies or errors in accounting.
• Examine account variances and deliver explanations for recognized trends.
• Suggest and execute enhancements and automation in processes pertinent to the department, aiming for improved quality and efficiency.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing the necessary information and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field;
• Proficiency in SAP, particularly in CO and FI modules;
• Experience in Cost Accounting;
• Strong foundation in accounting principles;
• Familiarity with monthly financial closing procedures;
• Background in process improvements and automation within the department;
• Analytical mindset with a comprehensive view of end-to-end processes;
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with partner departments;
• Ability to recognize and analyze deviations;
• High level of technical independence in executing departmental activities.
